The Volunteer Coordinator will report to the Executive Director.

Part Time:
-16 hours per week.
-Two 6-hour days in office per week and help with events/ work from home hours as needed.

$15/hour

The Volunteer Coordinator position is a primarily in-person position at the Be the Village Resource Center in Somerset, KY.

• Recruits and Onboards new volunteers

• Trains and onboards Support Village, Childcare, and Event Volunteers

• Oversees Support Villages through regular check-ins and support

• Coordinates behind the scenes details for the Gathering including the food and childcare

• Plans & executes events in collaboration with the Executive Director

• Assists with execution of projects such as Lemonade Stands, Thanksgiving Baskets, Kinship Christmas

• Tracks monthly impact data

• Helps with clerical needs such as thank you notes

• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent life experience preferred

• Have a deep walk with Jesus and a commitment to the local church

• Have a teachable spirit that is willing to learn and grow

• Have strong relational skills, networking capabilities, and the ability to inspire others

• Have a personal history of volunteer experience through church involvement, community organizations, and other avenues

• Have leadership experience in managing numerous volunteers during events

• Have a knowledge of the child welfare system, foster care, & adoption or an eagerness to learn

• Possess strong oral and written communication skills and public presentation skills

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain thorough records

• Possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously

• Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Have the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically
